While generative artificial intelligence is making its way into the daily lives of young French people, its uses and perceptions remain mixed. Conducted for Jedha, the Ifop study ” Young French people and generative AI: uses, perceptions and appetite for dedicated training “ highlights an already massive adoption among 16-25 year-olds, but also persistent questions about its impact, particularly in terms of employment and training.
Antoine Krajnc, founder of Jedha AI School, discusses these findings and shares his analysis of the issues of control, ethics and training linked to the widespread use of AI among the younger generations.
Question 1: Could you introduce Jedha AI School and outline its mission for young people and professionals?
Jedha trains the Tech talents of today and tomorrow. The school offers training of excellence in Artificial Intelligence, Data and Cybersecurity, aimed at young people, professionals and companies.
Founded in 2017, Jedha first developed intensive programs for professionals wishing to train in Data and Cyber professions. These courses have enabled thousands of learners to launch or accelerate their careers, acquiring skills that are highly sought after in Tech.
In 2025, Jedha launched Jedha l’AI School, the post-bac school dedicated to Artificial Intelligence and Data professions. It offers 6 courses from Bac to Bac+5 (Bachelors & Masters), on 3 campuses located in Paris, Lyon and Bordeaux.
Our mission is simple: to give each student the means to advance with autonomy and confidence in a growing sector.
Jedha AI School is part of the Quest Education Group, which also includes Gaming Campus and Guardia Cybersecurity School. It is a benchmark higher education group that has been training young people in tech professions since 2018 via Gaming Campus for video games and Guardia Cybersecurity School for cybersecurity.

Question 2: The study shows that 89% of 16-25 year-olds are already using AI, mainly to gain in productivity, but also to confide in or ask for advice. In your sector, which uses of AI among young people do you feel are the most strategic to integrate or supervise today?
In our sector, the use of AI among young people today poses two major and inseparable challenges:
- Mastering AI
- Ethics and discernment in its use
The first issue is fundamental, because everything else flows from it. Just a few years ago, artificial intelligence was reserved for a handful of companies capable of investing massively in research, infrastructure and production. Today, we’ve entered an era of AI massification: powerful tools are available to everyone, immediately and often free of charge.
This is a major transformation, but it comes with a risk: mass use without real understanding. Many young people experiment with AI in an empirical, intuitive way, without knowing its inner mechanisms (models, data, biases, probabilities). This creates both :
- new modes of learning and creativity,
- but also a form of “magification” of the tool, where the answers produced are sometimes taken for objective truths.
This is precisely where false beliefs emerge:
- the fear of a massive replacement of “white collar” jobs,
- dystopian narratives in which AI is autonomous, conscious or uncontrollable,
- or, conversely, blind confidence in systems that remain fundamentally fallible.
But the reality is quite different.
Above all, AI opens up a whole new field of opportunities, particularly for the younger generation. It enables new profiles to enter the market, to innovate faster, to rethink the entire value chain, and sometimes to compete with established players with far fewer resources.
And this mastery can take two complementary forms:
- Building AI: understanding models, data, algorithms and technical limitations.
- Using AI intelligently: integrating it into existing processes, automating, increasing productivity, improving decision-making.
These two approaches are not mutually exclusive: they correspond to different specializations, depending on career paths.
For example:
- A future marketing professional needs to know how to use AI to create content, analyze audiences, automate campaigns.
- A future developer or data scientist needs to understand how to design, train and deploy AI systems.
In both cases, the challenge is not just to “know how to use it”, but to know why, when and with what limits.
The second issue is ethics.
Mastering AI is essential, but it’s not enough. We need to help young people develop a critical and moral awareness of these tools.
AI is extremely powerful:
- it influences information,
- shapes decisions,
- and automates choices on a massive scale.
It can serve progress, inclusion and innovation, just as it can amplify bias, discrimination or misinformation if misused or misunderstood.
This is why the strategic uses to be integrated and managed today are :
- the ability to question the results produced by AI,
- understanding the biases and limitations of models,
- compliance with regulatory frameworks (RGPD, IA Act),
and, more broadly, human responsibility in the final decision. Among young people, AI must be neither idealized nor demonized.
Our responsibility, as educational players, is to enable them to:
- master AI as a tool,
- use it as a lever,
- and to question it as a power.
Only then will AI become a genuine factor of professional emancipation, rather than a source of dependency or confusion.
Question 3: We observe a paradox: young people are divided on the collective impact of AI, with 53% seeing it as an opportunity, particularly for the creation of new jobs, and 47% seeing it as a threat to employment. How do you interpret this discrepancy?
This discrepancy can be explained first and foremost by the very particular moment we’re going through in the history of artificial intelligence. We’re in a phase of rapid AI massification, where uses are spreading faster than the collective understanding of the tool. Many young people, like the rest of society, are experimenting with AI on a daily basis, but do not yet have stable, shared and objective benchmarks for its real long-term effects. In this context, the prevailing discourse is still highly polarized:
- on the one hand, a very optimistic vision, almost a technological Eldorado,
- on the other, anxiety-inducing accounts of massive job losses.
The survey results reflect this tension fairly accurately. And understandably so: even the experts have difficulty predicting the precise impact of AI on employment. When you’re not a specialist, it’s easy to get lost in extreme narratives, often amplified by the media and social networks.
Yet, as is often the case with major technological revolutions, the reality lies somewhere between these two visions.
Yes, AI will profoundly transform the job market. Some professions will evolve significantly, while others will disappear. But history also shows us that these periods of change are when the greatest number of new professions emerge.
And in this respect, young people have a considerable advantage.
They enter the job market with AI as a native tool, which they learn to master more quickly than their elders. They can integrate it naturally into their practices, bringing new uses, hybridizing skills and creating value where none existed before.
For many of them, AI is not a threat, but an exceptional gateway :
- for entrepreneurship,
- to innovate,
- to access high value-added roles earlier in their careers.
In reality, this paradox reflects less opposition than a period of transition. A phase of uncertainty, but also of immense potential. Those who know how to adapt, train and develop a critical approach to AI will be among the major beneficiaries of this transformation.
