“Hands-free” driving: a technology that’s changing driving habits
On the highway, fatigue remains a very real problem: nearly one in two drivers (49%) has experienced a “sudden wave of sleepiness” or a bout of drowsiness during a long drive. However, when faced with this fatigue, the majority of drivers still rely on traditional solutions, such as taking breaks, while only 14% say they use cruise control or other driver-assistance systems.

Following a favorable year for savings in 2025, indicators related to responsible investing remain very stable in 2026. 87% of French people hold at least one savings product, 52% of whom hold a product other than a savings passbook. While responsible investing remains a niche activity, it is holding steady: 14% of savers and 21% of holders of non-savings-account products have already made such an investment.

With a year and a half to go before the presidential election, 34% of French people now want Edouard Philippe to run (-2 points since April 2026), and 29% want Gabriel Attal to run (-2 points over the same period). But it is especially when compared to May 2025—the peak of the trend—that the decline is most evident: Edouard Philippe has lost 7 points (from 41% to 34%) and Gabriel Attal has lost 5 points (from 34% to 29%) in just over a year.
Salary and Flexibility: What Do Employees Expect?
While the rules governing bank overdrafts and installment payments are set to become stricter soon, financial difficulties at the end of the month remain a reality for the vast majority of French employees. Eighty-three percent say they have experienced financial difficulties at the end of the month, and nearly one in two has been overdrawn at least once in the past twelve months.
