The January 2026 Ifop-Fiducial personalities scoreboard for Paris Match and Sud Radio shows a generally upward trend, but confirms a lasting climate of political mistrust. For the fourth consecutive wave since July 2025, no personality has broken the 50% threshold of good opinion. This is a sharp drop compared to January 2016, when 11 politicians still exceeded this mark.
The hierarchy at the top of the ranking has been recomposed around an unprecedented trio. Jean-Louis Borloo regains first place with 47% of good opinions (+3 points), ahead of Sébastien Lecornu (46%, +5 points), who reaches his highest level in the barometer, and Dominique de Villepin (46%, -3 points), who remains in the top three. Jordan Bardella follows at 45%, with Édouard Philippe just behind at 44%.
In the government camp, Gérald Darmanin leads the way with 42% (+2 points). Figures with the potential to structure the post-Macron era in the central bloc are also gaining ground: Édouard Philippe (44%, +3 points) and Gabriel Attal (41%, +3 points).
Tested for the first time, Brigitte Macron is in 7th position with 42% of good opinions. Her support base appears to be clearly structured around senior citizens and « common base » supporters.
On the left, François Ruffin is the only personality to make it into the top 10, with 41% of good opinions (+4 points). François Hollande, stable at 40%, drops out, while several figures fall back, notably Marine Tondelier (29%, -3 points), Clémentine Autain (29%, -3 points) and Yannick Jadot (30%, -3 points).
Finally, the bottom of the ranking remains unchanged. Emmanuel Macron remains in last place with 24% of good opinions (-1 point). He is preceded by Jean-Luc Mélenchon, at 25%, who has the highest level of very poor opinions on the barometer (47%).
