To coincide with the Régions de France congress, Ifop conducted a survey for La Tribune Dimanche and CCI France on how the French see their regions.nnEight out of ten French people say they are attached to their region. Brittany (93%), Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur (91%) and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (88%) top the list, ahead of Île-de-France (70%) and Centre-Val de Loire (65%).nnThis attachment is accompanied by a rather optimistic assessment of the economic situation: 60% of French people believe that their region is « expanding ». Brittany (85%), Pays de la Loire (73%) and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (70%) are the regions most often judged by their inhabitants to be « expanding », reinforcing the idea that decisions taken at regional level are effective.nnOpinions on the actions of regional presidents are similar: on average, 58% of residents say they are satisfied. Brittany (78%) and Normandy (67%) are satisfied with their regional presidents, while Île-de-France (50%) and Grand Est (53%) are more divided.nnTerritorial differences confirm the logic of proximity. In the provinces, the indicators are higher than in Île-de-France: attachment (82% vs. 70%), perception of expansion (61% vs. 55%) and satisfaction with action (61% vs. 50%).
