Ifop for L’Opinion asked French people about the possibility of Nicolas Sarkozy returning to politics.nnThis prospect was rejected by a majority: 73% of French people said they did not want him to return, compared with 27% who were in favor. Support is highly polarized politically, with a peak among LR sympathizers (76% « yes »), while RN sympathizers appear divided (33% « yes », 67% « no »). The under-35s are clearly reluctant (82% « no »), while the desire for a return is growing among the well-off (39% « yes ») and in Île-de-France (35%, versus 25% in the provinces).
